Second Quarter

In the second quarter, UTSA managed to find some rhythm offensively when Owen McCown connected with Mekhi Anderson for a touchdown pass. Despite this effort, South Florida dominated this period by scoring four touchdowns and extending their lead significantly to 31-7 before halftime.

Third Quarter

After halftime adjustments, UTSA returned more focused defensively but still allowed another touchdown and field goal from USF in the third quarter. Brandon Tennison contributed another field goal for UTSA during this period; however, it wasn't enough to close down on USF’s lead which stood at 41-10 going into final stretch.

Fourth Quarter

Additionally Michael Petro added yet another successful kick through uprights bringing total points scored up slightly higher than previous quarters combined (10).
