The Wake Forest offense was firing on all cylinders as they rushed for an outstanding 288 yards. A highlight was a remarkable 74-yard run, contributing to their average of six yards per carry. The passing game also added to the dynamic offense with 196 yards through the air and two touchdowns; one pass completed for a significant gain of 34 yards. The quarterback's precision was notable with a completion percentage of approximately 65 percent and no interceptions.


Special teams contributed to Wake Forest's victory as well, with field goal kickers successfully making three out of four attempts, including one from an impressive distance of 44 yards. Kickoffs were equally effective, resulting in six touchbacks from eight attempts.

Defensively, the Demon Deacons managed to sack the opposing quarterback twice for a loss of eight yards and recorded two interceptions that were returned for a total of 66 yards. Their defensive efforts limited Vanderbilt's scoring opportunities throughout the game.


Vanderbilt's effort should not go unnoticed despite falling short against Wake Forest. They put up twenty points on the scoreboard and used all three timeouts strategically but could not overcome Wake Forest's robust defense and explosive offense.
