The passing game was particularly effective, contributing 312 yards to the offense's total yardage. Quarterback play was pivotal as Wake Forest completed 24 passes and threw for three touchdowns, including a notable longest completion of 48 yards which also resulted in a touchdown.

Despite some challenges with ball security that led to three fumbles by Wake Forest, they managed to recover two on their own while losing only one.
