The match took place at Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium in Winston-Salem, drawing an impressive crowd of 29,450 spectators who were treated to a display of dominance by the home team on both offense and defense. The Demon Deacons' offense was particularly noteworthy, racking up an impressive total of 513 yards. Quarterback Hank Bachmeier was at the forefront of this offensive onslaught, throwing for 263 yards and three touchdowns. Bachmeier's accuracy was on full display as he completed 64 percent of his passes and averaged more than nine yards per attempt.


In terms of rushing, Wake Forest showcased their depth and versatility on the ground. Demond Claiborne emerged as a standout performer with 135 rushing yards from seventeen carries—an average close to eight yards per carry—and one touchdown. Tate Carney also made significant contributions to the ground game with forty yards and one touchdown.


The defense was instrumental in clinching this win by exerting relentless pressure on North Carolina A&T's offense throughout the game. They tallied three sacks and seven tackles for loss while keeping their opponents to just thirteen points. Jasheen Davis made his presence felt on defense with one sack among his overall tackles.


Wake Forest’s special teams played a crucial role in this victory as well. Punter Ivan Mora had an outstanding day on special teams, punting for a total of 173 yards and successfully placing two within the opponent’s twenty-yard line. Taylor Morin provided one of the game's highlights with a seventy-three-yard punt return touchdown that underscored Wake Forest’s dominance in field position thanks to their special teams' efforts.
