Game Highlights

The Demon Deacons struggled to find their rhythm against a formidable Rebels defense. Quarterback Hank Bachmeier completed 56 percent of his passes for 239 yards but was unable to find the end zone. Michael Kern also saw some action, completing two out of three attempts for 26 yards and one interception. The rushing game faced similar challenges; Ty Clark III led with 41 yards on eight carries, showcasing his ability to break through tackles with an average of over five yards per carry.

Wake Forest's defense had moments of brilliance despite the scoreline not reflecting their efforts fully. Nick Andersen stood out by forcing a fumble and leading his team with twelve tackles, demonstrating his defensive prowess across the field. Bryce Ganious contributed significantly by recording one sack and two tackles alongside quarterback pressure that resulted in eight lost yards for Ole Miss.

Special teams played a crucial role as well; Matthew Dennis was perfect on field goal attempts, contributing all six points for Wake Forest from distances including one from beyond forty yards.

Looking Ahead

As they regroup from this setback, Wake Forest's focus shifts towards their next game against Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns at Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium on September 28th at 3:30 PM EDT. Fans can catch this upcoming match live on ACC Network or via satellite channel number 612.

This encounter presents an opportunity for Wake Forest to refine their strategies and showcase improvements on both sides of the ball as they aim to even out their record early in the season.
