At the California Memorial Stadium, the Washington State Cougars showcased their offensive capabilities by accumulating a total of 483 yards. The team's passing game was particularly active as they gained 358 yards through the air. The quarterback played a pivotal role by completing 35 passes on 60 attempts and throwing for three touchdowns. His longest pass was for 25 yards and he managed to maintain an impressive passer rating of approximately 122.

The rushing offense added another dimension to the Cougars' attack with an additional 125 yards on the ground over 37 attempts, scoring two touchdowns in this facet of their game. Their longest rush did not exceed twelve yards but they were consistent in their efforts.

Special teams had mixed results; while kickoffs totaled an impressive distance of approximately four hundred thirty-seven yards across seven kicks, field goal kicking was less successful with only one made out of three attempts.

Penalties could have been problematic for some teams but were relatively controlled in this game as only seven penalties were called against them for sixty total penalty yards.

Despite these strong offensive numbers, turnovers proved costly for the Cougars who fumbled four times throughout the game and lost possession on three occasions. These turnovers contributed to their narrow defeat despite having controlled possession time significantly longer than their opponents.

On defense, Washington State managed to sack opposing quarterbacks twice and forced three fumbles overall which shows that they were able to apply pressure even though it wasn't enough to secure victory.

Looking ahead after this hard-fought battle, fans can mark their calendars for when Washington State will host Colorado Buffaloes at Gesa Field in Pullman. This upcoming event is scheduled for November eighteenth at eight thirty PM Pacific Time and will be broadcasted on Fox Sports one satellite channel two hundred nineteen. Fans are encouraged to watch as Washington State looks forward to playing before its home crowd once again.
