West Virginia Mountaineers Edge Out Baylor Bears at McLane Stadium in College Football Showdown

The West Virginia Mountaineers, with a season record of 8-4, secured a hard-fought victory over the Baylor Bears, who now stand at 3-9. The final scoreline read 34-31 in favor of the visiting team.

In an intense game at McLane Stadium, the West Virginia Mountaineers showcased their offensive capabilities by accumulating a total of 519 yards. The Mountaineers' passing game was particularly effective; they completed 16 out of 25 attempts for a total of 269 yards and two touchdowns. Despite not securing any interceptions or fumble recoveries, this defensive pressure played an essential role in containing the Bears' offense.

They managed to score fourteen points in both second and third quarters while holding West Virginia scoreless in one quarter which highlighted their resilience despite trailing early on after conceding seven points in the first quarter without reply.
