The game saw the Mountaineers put up an impressive offensive performance with a total of 430 yards. The passing game contributed significantly with quarterback throwing for 275 yards and two touchdowns, completing 23 out of 39 attempts. The longest pass completed was for 36 yards, and they achieved a completion percentage of nearly 59 percent. On the ground, West Virginia managed to rush for an additional 155 yards on 40 attempts, scoring two touchdowns with their longest run being an impressive dash of 38 yards.

West Virginia's special teams were also noteworthy; their punter averaged over 43 yards across three punts with his longest being a substantial kick of over half the field length. In terms of scoring efficiency within critical zones on the field, they converted four out five times when in the red zone and succeeded on two out three attempts during goal-to-go situations.

Defensively, West Virginia recorded one sack and six tackles for loss while defending against TCU's offense effectively enough to limit them to zero points during the third quarter. They also managed to intercept one pass from TCU’s quarterback but couldn't capitalize by returning it for yardage.

Despite these efforts by West Virginia, TCU maintained control throughout most parts of the game as evidenced by their higher scoreline which included scoring twenty-one points in just one quarter alone – showing off their offensive capabilities against WVU’s defense.

Looking ahead after this tough contest against TCU Horned Frogs, fans can mark their calendars for another exciting game as West Virginia Mountaineers will be playing away against Iowa State Cyclones at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames on November fifth scheduled to start at seven-thirty PM Eastern Time broadcasted on ESPN+. This upcoming encounter promises another opportunity for WVU to showcase its talents and possibly add another win to its record.
