Mountaineers Offensive Highlights

The West Virginia offense showcased its potential despite falling short. Quarterback Garrett Greene completed 19 out of 39 attempts, throwing for 237 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. His performance was pivotal in keeping drives alive and pushing towards the end zone. Greene also demonstrated his dual-threat capability by rushing for an impressive 129 yards on 22 carries, including two touchdowns.

Running back CJ Donaldson Jr.'s contribution was notable as well; he rushed for 60 yards on nine attempts and scored once, highlighting his efficiency in finding gaps in the defense. Jahiem White added another dimension to the rushing attack with his agility and speed, accumulating 67 yards over sixteen carries.

Defensive Efforts and Special Teams

On defense, Anthony Wilson Jr. led with eight tackles and six assists but couldn't prevent Baylor's high-scoring offense from finding its rhythm. Sean Martin managed to record a sack along with one tackle for loss which contributed to slowing down some of Baylor's drives.

Special teams had mixed results; Oliver Straw punted three times totaling an average net yardage of twenty-three per punt which included one inside-the-twenty-yard line effort showing strategic field positioning despite limited opportunities.

Looking Ahead

The next challenge awaits as West Virginia prepares to host UCF Knights at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium on November 23rd at 1:00 PM EDT. Fans eager to support their team can catch all live action from Morgantown as WVU looks forward to securing another win this season.
