First Quarter

The opening quarter saw the Cyclones take an early lead, scoring 26 points compared to Zona's 15. The Wildcats struggled to find their rhythm offensively and defensively, allowing Iowa State to establish control from the outset.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, Arizona continued to face difficulties as they managed only 14 points against Iowa State's impressive tally of 27. Despite efforts from players like Kamryn Kitchen and Sumayah Sugapong, who contributed significantly in terms of rebounds and assists respectively, Zona couldn't close the gap before halftime.

Third Quarter

The third quarter marked a turning point for Arizona as they mounted a spirited comeback attempt by scoring 23 points. Mickayla Perdue led this charge with her dynamic play on both ends of the court. However, despite their best efforts and improved shooting accuracy—hitting over half their two-point attempts—their defense still allowed too many opportunities for Iowa State.

Fourth Quarter

Entering into what would be their final push in this matchup during Q4; however it was not enough as they were outscored once again by ISU (15-13). Tanyuel Welch showed resilience throughout these minutes but ultimately fell short alongside her teammates when trying desperately yet unsuccessfully closing down any further gaps between themselves & opponents’ lead which remained unchallenged till buzzer sounded signaling endgame scenario where victory belonged solely unto home side today!
