Can the Razorbacks Rebound After Lexington Letdown Against Wildcats?

The Arkansas Razorbacks, with a record of 0-0, faced off against the Kentucky Wildcats at Memorial Coliseum in Lexington. Despite a valiant effort, the Razorbacks fell short with a final score of 63-73. The Wildcats improved their record to 0-0.

Inside scoring was more effective for them as they made seventeen two-point field goals at a forty-seven percent clip contributing to their total twenty-eight points scored within paint.


The team's rebounding efforts yielded thirty-eight total rebounds – seven offensive and thirty-one defensive – showcasing their ability to compete on both ends of court despite falling behind early on scoreboard.


Kentucky's home advantage played into their hands as they managed to maintain control over proceedings despite being outscored by Arkansas during certain stretches of match-up. They capitalized on turnovers scoring twelve points off them compared to ten by Arkansas and edged ahead significantly when it came down to shooting accuracy; forty-four percent overall field goal percentage versus thirty-three percent for visitors.


The Wildcats also dominated inside paint where they scored forty-six points thanks largely due part due high fifty-three percent shooting rate from two-point range while also managing better free throw accuracy at seventy-one percent success rate compared sixty-five percent achieved by visiting team.
