Arkansas Razorbacks VS Mississippi State Lady Bulldogs

In front of a passionate crowd at Bud Walton Arena, the Arkansas Razorbacks displayed commendable effort but fell short by three points to the visiting Mississippi State Bulldogs. The home team's performance was marked by resilience and determination as they tried to overcome a first-half deficit.

The Razorbacks' offense struggled initially, scoring only 13 and 9 points in the first two quarters respectively. However, they ignited after halftime with an explosive third quarter, adding 26 points to their tally. Despite outscoring the Bulldogs in both the third and fourth quarters, it wasn't enough to secure victory.

Arkansas showcased defensive tenacity with seven blocks and matched their opponents with four steals each. Both teams dished out 14 assists apiece indicating a shared emphasis on teamwork throughout the contest. The home team's free throw accuracy was exceptional at 92 percent but this precision from the line did not translate into overall field goal efficiency where they shot just 31 percent.

The three-point line was not friendly to Arkansas either; despite making ten shots from beyond the arc, their conversion rate stood at only 26 percent compared to their two-point attempts which had a slightly higher success rate of 37 percent. On rebounds, Arkansas gathered a total of 37 compared to Mississippi State's more dominant presence on the glass with 50 rebounds.

Mississippi State's offensive efforts were more evenly distributed across all four quarters contributing significantly to their win. They managed better field goal shooting at 38 percent and were particularly strong inside painting up an impressive tally of points in that area.

Looking ahead for Arkansas fans, attention turns towards an away game against Alabama Crimson Tide scheduled for January 14th at Foster Auditorium in Tuscaloosa. Fans can catch this upcoming match live as it unfolds starting from around noon local time.
