The home crowd at Bud Walton Arena witnessed an intense battle where the momentum swung like a pendulum. The Razorbacks had to overcome an early deficit after scoring only six points in the first quarter compared to the Tigers' seventeen. However, they roared back with nineteen points in the second quarter and dominated after halftime with thirty-one points in the third.

Arkansas's performance was bolstered by their superior free throw shooting, making nineteen out of twenty-seven attempts for a solid seventy percent accuracy. This sharpshooting proved crucial down the stretch as it helped them maintain their slender lead over Auburn. In contrast, Auburn struggled from the line, converting just fifty-four percent of their free throws.

The Razorbacks also showcased their defensive skills by matching Auburn's six blocks and surpassing them on rebounds with forty-four total grabs compared to Auburn's forty-one. Arkansas capitalized on these opportunities despite committing fifteen turnovers during play.

Auburn was not without its merits; they displayed aggressive defense throughout, racking up twelve steals and forcing numerous turnovers. Their fast break execution was notable as well, contributing fourteen fast break points to keep pressure on Arkansas.

The fourth quarter saw both teams fighting tooth and nail as Arkansas scored eighteen points against Auburn's twenty-seven – but it was just enough for Arkansas to secure victory by two points when time expired.

Looking ahead, fans can catch the next game featuring Arkansas Razorbacks as they face off against Florida Gators at Exactech Arena at Stephen C. O'Connell Center in Gainesville on February 8th at 6:00 PM Eastern Time (ET). The match will be available for viewing so fans can follow all of the action live from Florida.
