California Golden Bears Dominate at Haas Pavilion in Women's Basketball Showdown

The California Golden Bears showcased their dominance on the court with a commanding victory over the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks, ending the game with a score of 79-55. The Golden Bears now stand with an unblemished record, while the Warhawks face a setback.

Although there was a slight dip in scoring during the second quarter for both teams, with California putting up only 11 points compared to Louisiana-Monroe's 15, it did not deter them from pushing forward.


The third quarter saw California ramp up their efforts further by adding another 21 points to their tally while holding Louisiana-Monroe to just 18. In a final push during the fourth quarter, California outdid themselves by scoring an additional 25 points against Louisiana-Monroe’s consistent effort of another 11 points.


California’s statistical performance was notable across various aspects of play. They made ten three-pointers at a rate of about thirty-one percent and were successful in eighteen two-point attempts out of thirty-nine, translating to roughly forty-six percent accuracy. Their free throw performance stood at sixty-five percent success rate as they made thirteen out of twenty attempts.


Defensively, they were strong on rebounds pulling down fifty-four compared to Louisiana-Monroe’s thirty-two and managed five steals throughout the game. Their offensive prowess was evident as they scored eighteen points off turnovers and capitalized on second-chance opportunities by adding twenty-two more points.


Louisiana-Monroe had some commendable statistics despite falling short overall; they shot nearly forty-nine percent for two-pointers and seventy-three percent from free-throw line but struggled beyond the arc making only two three-pointers at about ten percent accuracy. They also contributed fifteen points off turnovers but were unable to keep pace with California's scoring runs.
