California Golden Bears Face Off Against Mississippi State Bulldogs in NCAA Post-Season

In a competitive match at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, the California Golden Bears were up against the Mississippi State Bulldogs in what was a crucial game for both teams in their NCAA Women's Basketball post-season journey. Golden Bears' Efforts and Highlights


Despite the loss, several players from the California team showcased commendable performances. Ugonne Onyiah emerged as a standout player for her team with an impressive tally of 17 points and 15 rebounds, making her one of the most influential players on court that day. Her field goal percentage was noted at 38 percent, and she successfully made 64 percent of her free throws. Onyiah's defensive skills were also on display as she managed to block one shot during the game.


Lulu Twidale also made significant contributions with 13 points and three assists, demonstrating her versatility on both ends of the court. Twidale's accuracy from beyond the arc was marked by a three-point shooting percentage of 17 percent, but she excelled in two-point shots where she had a perfect success rate.


Kayla Williams showed exceptional defensive skills by securing five steals throughout the game. However, her offensive efforts were met with challenges as she managed to score only three points with a field goal percentage standing at just 14 percent.


Mississippi State Bulldogs' Dominance


The Mississippi State Bulldogs displayed strong teamwork and strategic gameplay which contributed to their victory. Their defense was particularly effective, recording six blocks and fifteen steals over their opponents. The Bulldogs capitalized on turnovers scoring seventeen points off them which played a pivotal role in extending their lead.


Their biggest lead during the match reached sixteen points showcasing their dominance at various stages of the game. The efficiency from free throw line stood out as well; they achieved an impressive rate of seventy-nine percent accuracy which significantly contributed to maintaining their lead over California Golden Bears.
