The California Golden Bears secured a commanding victory over the Cal Poly Mustangs with a final score of 74-60. The Golden Bears now hold an impressive record, while the Mustangs fell further behind in their season tally.

California Golden Bears VS Eastern Washington Eagles

At Haas Pavilion, home to the California Golden Bears, fans witnessed a remarkable display of basketball as their team took on the visiting Cal Poly Mustangs. The game started off strong for the home team, with the Golden Bears putting up 29 points in the first quarter compared to just 12 from the Mustangs. Although outscored in the second quarter by one point, they maintained their lead and finished strong with 22 points in the final quarter.

The California team's offense was firing on all cylinders as they made 24 field goals and an exceptional ten three-pointers at a rate of about 39 percent from beyond the arc. Their free throw accuracy was also notable; they made about 84 percent of their shots from the line.

Defensively, both teams were evenly matched with four blocks each. However, it was steals where California truly shone – accumulating an impressive total of fifteen steals throughout the game which contributed significantly to their points off turnovers tallying up to thirty-seven.

Rebounding played a crucial role as well; although outrebounded by thirteen overall by Cal Poly's forty rebounds, it did not deter them from securing eight offensive rebounds which led to seven second-chance points.

Player performance for California was key with contributions across various statistics including assists where they edged out Cal Poly eleven to ten. Discipline and control were evident as well since they managed seventeen turnovers compared to thirty-three by Cal Poly and did not commit any team turnovers during play.

The visiting Mustangs showed resilience despite trailing behind. They managed twenty personal fouls but excelled at converting free throws making twelve out of sixteen attempts. Their effort inside was commendable too – scoring thirty-four points in paint thanks largely due to eighteen two-point field goals made on fifty-one percent shooting efficiency from that range.

As fans look ahead after this solid performance by their beloved Golden Bears, anticipation builds for what is next on schedule: an away game against Auburn Tigers at Neville Arena scheduled for November 18th at 8 PM Eastern Time (ET). Fans eager to support can catch this upcoming matchup live as details regarding broadcast networks will be announced closer to game day.
