The California Golden Bears emerged victorious with a 65-44 scoreline against the Washington State Cougars. The Golden Bears now hold an impressive record, while the Cougars fell further behind with their performance.

In what was a display of dominance at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, the Golden Bears showcased their superiority on both ends of the court. The home team outscored their opponents in every quarter, starting strong with 16 points to 10 in the first and closing out with a solid 15-point effort in the fourth. Their offensive execution was evident as they shot at a 39 percent clip from the field and an impressive 75 percent from the free-throw line.

The Golden Bears' defense was equally formidable, limiting the Cougars to just 30 percent shooting from the field and a mere 23 percent from beyond the arc. The home team capitalized on turnovers, scoring 16 points off of them compared to only six by Washington State. Additionally, California's rebounding was outstanding; they grabbed a total of 49 rebounds—26 defensive and an imposing number of offensive boards at 17—giving them numerous second-chance opportunities which translated into an overwhelming advantage of second-chance points: they scored an astonishingly high number at twenty-six.

California's players also shone individually; their nine steals were indicative of their aggressive defense that kept Washington State on its heels throughout. On offense, they distributed well for twelve assists and maintained better ball control than their counterparts who had thirteen turnovers.

On Washington State's side, despite being outplayed overall, there were some areas where they held firm. They managed to block five shots compared to three by California and fought hard under their own basket for thirty-five total rebounds. However, it wasn't enough as they struggled offensively throughout most parts of this encounter.

Looking ahead after this commanding performance by California Golden Bears fans can mark their calendars for another exciting matchup as CAL is set to face Stanford Cardinal next. This game is scheduled for March 7th at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas at 2:30 PM local time (PST). Fans eager not to miss any action can tune into Pac-12 Network for live coverage.
