Can Fresno State Bulldogs Outmaneuver Air Force Falcons at Thomas & Mack?

As the Fresno State Bulldogs prepare to face off against the Air Force Falcons, fans are eager to see if their team can bounce back from a string of challenging games. The Bulldogs' recent performance has been a rollercoaster, with their last game against the New Mexico Lobos ending in a 58-72 loss on March 6th. Despite this setback, there's reason to believe that the upcoming game could mark a turning point for Fresno State.

Air Force Falcons VS Fresno State Bulldogs

In their last encounter with the Lobos, FRES showed potential in offensive rebounds and second-chance points but struggled with turnovers and field goal percentage. Their three-point shooting was notably lacking at 30 percent compared to UNM's more effective 44 percent. However, it's worth noting that FRES managed an impressive assist-to-turnover ratio of 0.86 despite losing the game.

Looking back further, FRES faced Wyoming Cowgirls on March 2nd and suffered another defeat with a score of 51-62. Once again, turnovers were an issue for FRES as they gave up possession ten times during that game. Yet they shone at free throw accuracy with a perfect rate of 100 percent—a glimmer of hope in an otherwise tough matchup.

The most promising performance came from their February 24th clash against Boise State Broncos where despite falling short by five points (65-70), FRES showcased resilience especially in the final quarter where they scored an impressive 27 points—indicating their ability to rally when behind.

Against AFA, it is crucial for FRES to maintain strong defense while minimizing turnovers which have plagued them recently. The Falcons will not make it easy; however, given AFA’s home advantage at Thomas & Mack Center and considering past performances where lead changes were frequent indicating closely fought contests.

The key players for Fresno State must step up; maintaining composure under pressure will be essential if they are to outmaneuver AFA’s tactics and secure victory away from home soil.

Fans should mark their calendars for what promises to be an intense battle on March 10th at Thomas & Mack Center starting at 2:00 PM local time (NV). This match-up between two determined teams will be available for viewing so supporters can witness every moment as it unfolds live—will Fresno State rise above recent adversities or will Air Force Falcons defend their territory? Only time will tell as we await tip-off in Las Vegas.
