From tip-off, it was clear that the Maryland Terrapins were on a mission. They outscored UMass in every quarter, starting with a solid 23 points to 12 in the first and continuing their scoring streak with 25 points in the second quarter. Their offensive efforts did not wane after halftime as they posted another strong performance with 28 points in the third quarter before closing out with 16 points in the final period.

The statistics tell a story of Maryland's comprehensive performance. They shot an impressive field goal percentage of roughly 51 percent and were particularly effective from two-point range where they hit an outstanding rate of about 60 percent. Their free throw accuracy was also notable at approximately 79 percent.

Defensively, Maryland was just as formidable; they amassed a total of 19 steals which contributed to their staggering tally of 42 points off turnovers. This defensive pressure clearly disrupted UMass's rhythm leading them to commit a total of 28 turnovers throughout the game.

Maryland’s players also showed great teamwork with equal assists to match their steals count at nineteen each – demonstrating fluid ball movement and unselfish play that kept UMass on their heels.

On top of that, fast break opportunities were seized by Maryland resulting in them scoring an impressive total of about twenty-eight fast break points which underscored their quick transition play and athleticism.

In contrast, despite showing resilience by scoring twenty-seven points during one quarter alone – which was indeed their highest-scoring period – it wasn't enough for UMass to turn things around. They struggled from beyond-the-arc hitting only about twenty-seven percent from three-point territory and had difficulty containing Maryland’s offense inside as evidenced by forty-six points conceded within paint area alone.

Looking ahead for fans eager to support The Maryland Terrapins will have another opportunity when they face off against Niagara Purple Eagles at Xfinity Center located in College Park on November thirty-first at seven PM Eastern Time zone; this event will be available for viewing via B1G+ internet broadcast network.
