Terrapins' Efforts Not Enough

The Maryland Terrapins showcased resilience throughout the game, starting strong with 29 points in the first quarter but struggled to maintain momentum against a determined Nebraska team. The home team's performance was highlighted by Shyanne Sellers who led her team with 23 points, demonstrating remarkable efficiency from both inside and beyond the arc. Sellers also contributed four assists and three rebounds, making her one of Maryland's standout players.

Defensively, Saylor Poffenbarger made her presence felt by blocking two shots and securing five rebounds alongside eight points. Her defensive efforts were crucial for Maryland but ultimately not enough to stave off Nebraska's aggressive playstyle. Christina Dalce also contributed significantly on both ends of the court with eight points, five rebounds, and one block.

Cornhuskers' Dominant Display

On the other side, Nebraska Cornhuskers executed their game plan flawlessly. Their offensive strategy paid dividends as they managed to shoot at an impressive 51 percent from field goals while maintaining a three-point shooting percentage of 57 percent. This sharpshooting prowess was complemented by their ability to distribute the ball effectively as evidenced by their 21 assists throughout the game.

Nebraska’s dominance in rebounding was another key factor in their victory over Maryland; they outrebounded them significantly which allowed for multiple second-chance opportunities contributing to their high-scoring output.
