First Quarter

The Terps set the tone early, scoring 22 points in the first quarter. Yarden Garzon was instrumental in this period, contributing significantly with her sharp shooting and playmaking abilities. The Scarlet Knights struggled to find their rhythm against Maryland’s tight defense, managing only 11 points.

Second Quarter

Maryland continued their dominance into the second quarter, again putting up another 22 points while holding Rutgers to just 5. Breanna Williams made her presence felt on both ends of the court, adding crucial rebounds and maintaining pressure on defense.

Third Quarter

In the third quarter, Addi Mack took charge for Maryland with a stellar performance from beyond the arc. Her precision shooting helped extend Maryland’s lead as they scored another 21 points compared to Rutgers’ mere seven.

Fourth Quarter

The final quarter saw no let-up from Maryland as they added another 23 points to seal their commanding victory. Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu stood out defensively with key rebounds that thwarted any comeback attempts by Rutgers.

Overall, what went wrong for Maryland Terrapins was minimal as they executed a near-flawless game plan against a struggling opponent. The team’s efficiency was highlighted by their impressive field goal percentage of 48 percent and three-point accuracy at an astounding rate of over half of their attempts made successful.

Post-game thoughts from coach Brenda Frese reflected satisfaction but also emphasized areas for improvement despite such a convincing win: "We played well today but there are always aspects we can refine."

Looking ahead, fans can catch more action when Ohio State Buckeyes visit XFINITY Center on January 11th at 4:00 PM EST; streaming will be available via Peacock Internet network.
