Can the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders Overcome the Lady Techsters at Thomas Assembly Center?

As the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders gear up for their next challenge against the Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters, fans are eager to see if their team can carry forward the momentum from recent performances. The upcoming game, scheduled at Thomas Assembly Center in Ruston, promises to be a thrilling encounter.

Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders VS Louisiana Tech Bulldogs

The MTU's last outing on December 30 against Grand Canyon Antelopes ended in a defeat with a score of 59-68. Despite this setback, there were positive takeaways from that game. The Blue Raiders showed resilience and managed to keep their turnovers low at 16 compared to Grand Canyon's 9. However, they struggled with three-point shots, landing only 25 percent of them. Their free throw accuracy was impressive though, hitting an excellent rate of 82 percent.

Earlier on December 21 against Northern Kentucky Norse, MTU displayed what they're capable of by dominating with an emphatic victory of 83-42. Their offensive prowess was evident as they shot an impressive field goal percentage of 43 and were particularly effective from beyond the arc with a three-point shooting percentage of 32. They also excelled defensively by making it difficult for NKU to find their rhythm and capitalized on turnovers by scoring a whopping 35 points off them.

In another notable performance on December 17 against Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks, MTU secured a solid win with a scoreline reading 72-47 in favor of the home side at Murphy Athletic Center. The defensive effort was commendable as they racked up seven blocks and fifteen steals leading to numerous fast-break opportunities which resulted in easy points.

Looking ahead to January's matchup against LT, it is crucial for MTU to maintain their defensive intensity while improving upon areas where they've shown vulnerability such as consistency from downtown and maintaining ball control throughout all quarters.

The Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters will not make it easy; known for their aggressive playstyle and ability to capitalize on fast breaks which was evident when they scored seventeen fast break points in one of their previous games compared to MTU’s two during theirs against Grand Canyon Antelopes.

MTU fans should mark January 10th on their calendars when these two teams face off at Thomas Assembly Center starting at sharp six o'clock in the evening local time (6:00 PM). With both teams looking strong but having distinct styles of play, it will be interesting to see how strategies unfold during this encounter. Fans unable or unwilling to travel can catch live action through local broadcasts or streaming services that cover college basketball games.
