The Ole Miss Rebels faced a tough challenge against the visiting LSU Tigers, with the final scoreboard reading 84-73 in favor of the guests. Ole Miss Rebels VS LSU Tigers

The game was marked by intense competition and several lead changes before settling in favor of the Tigers. Both teams showed significant hustle throughout all four quarters with five times tied and four lead changes keeping fans on edge. The Pavilion witnessed an impressive turnout with 9,074 spectators filling up nearly all its seats.

The Rebels put up a strong fight in terms of defense with eight blocks compared to three from the Tigers. They also edged out their opponents in steals by securing 11 against nine from LSU. However, it was not enough to overcome LSU's offensive might which saw them shooting at a higher field goal percentage of 47 percent compared to Ole Miss's 40 percent.

Ole Miss excelled at free throws making an impressive 82 percent from the line while LSU made just 64 percent of theirs. In terms of points distribution for Ole Miss, they scored most heavily in the third quarter putting up an admirable total of 25 points but were held back by scoring only 11 points in the fourth quarter.

On offense, both teams had similar stats for points in paint; however, fast break points were dominated by Ole Miss who scored nineteen against eleven from LSU. This aggressive play style showcased their ability to capitalize on quick transitions but ultimately did not translate into overall success on this occasion.

LSU's dominance can be attributed partly to their superior three-point shooting accuracy which stood at an outstanding rate of sixty-two percent as opposed to twenty-seven percent achieved by Ole Miss. Additionally, they managed more second-chance points (16) than Ole Miss (10), which contributed significantly to maintaining their lead throughout much of the game.

Looking ahead for fans eager to support their team once more: The next game for Ole Miss will see them host Auburn Tigers at The Pavilion at Ole Miss located in Oxford MS on January 11th starting promptly at 6:30 PM local time (Central Time). Followers can catch live action as it unfolds either directly from courtside or through broadcasts available for viewing pleasure.
