The Ole Miss Rebels have emerged victorious with a commanding 75-45 win over the Kentucky Wildcats. The Rebels now stand with an impressive record, while the Wildcats face a setback in their season tally.

Ole Miss Rebels VS Kentucky Wildcats

From the opening quarter, the Ole Miss Rebels set a vigorous pace, outscoring the Wildcats 20-7. The momentum continued as they extended their lead by halftime and further dominated in the third quarter with an additional 23 points to their score. Despite a slightly lower scoring final quarter, the Rebels maintained control throughout, concluding with a thirty-point margin.

The offensive efforts of Ole Miss were notable as they made 33 field goals on 72 attempts, translating to an effective field goal percentage of 46 percent. Their prowess from within the arc was particularly evident as they converted half of their two-point attempts into points. From beyond the arc, they shot at a rate of 29 percent making four three-pointers.

Defensively, Ole Miss was just as formidable; both teams recorded six blocks each but it was steals where Ole Miss showed superiority with six compared to only one by Kentucky. This defensive pressure contributed to twenty-three points off turnovers for Ole Miss and played a significant role in limiting Kentucky's scoring opportunities.

On top of that, team play shined through for Ole Miss who tallied twenty assists over Kentucky's ten. This teamwork also translated into rebounding where Ole Miss collected forty-nine rebounds against thirty-three by Kentucky – showcasing their dominance on both ends of the court.

Free throws were another area where Ole Miss excelled; although fewer were attempted than by Kentucky (seven compared to fourteen), they capitalized on these opportunities achieving a free throw percentage of seventy-one percent.

Looking ahead for fans of The University of Mississippi team: The next game will see them host Arkansas Razorbacks at The Sandy and John Black Pavilion at Ole Miss located in Oxford on March 3rd at 3:00 PM local time (Central Time).
