Can the Boilermakers Bounce Back After Narrow Defeat to Hoosiers at Mackey Arena?

The Purdue Boilermakers, unranked and determined, clashed with the 16th-ranked Indiana Hoosiers in a closely contested battle that ultimately saw the visitors edge out a victory with a score of 74-68. In contrast, Indiana excelled from three-point range sinking fifteen shots from twenty-three attempts achieving sixty-five percent accuracy which proved pivotal.


The Boilermakers dominated inside scoring thirty points in paint compared to eighteen by their rivals. They also led in total rebounds grabbing thirty-two against twenty-six by Indiana; however, this advantage did not translate into control of the game flow as turnovers plagued them with thirteen lost possessions whereas Indiana turned it over eighteen times.


Despite matching up evenly on assists with fifteen each team had different assist-to-turnover ratios; Purdue recorded an assists turnover ratio of one point fifteen while Indiana posted zero point eighty-three indicating more efficient ball handling by Purdue despite fewer opportunities created off turnovers.
