Rice Owls VS Wichita State Shockers

From tip-off to final buzzer, the Rice Owls commanded attention on both ends of the court. The first quarter saw them take an early lead by putting up 17 points against Texas Southern's 11. They continued this momentum into the second quarter by adding another 20 points to their tally while holding their opponents to just six points in that period.

The third quarter was particularly notable for Rice's scoring prowess as they racked up an additional 26 points, showcasing their ability to maintain intensity after halftime. In contrast, despite improving offensively in this quarter with 18 points of their own, Texas Southern struggled to close down Rice's dynamic offense.

The fourth quarter saw both teams add more modest totals to their scores; however, it was clear that Rice had established insurmountable dominance earlier in the game. The Owls added another 13 points while allowing Texas Southern only slightly better output than they managed in previous quarters with 14 points.

Key players for Rice were instrumental throughout each phase of play; however specific individual statistics cannot be overlooked when analyzing such commanding team performance. Their collective effort translated into significant leads at every break and ultimately resulted in doubling up on Texas Southern's total score by game end.

On defense as well as offense, Rice showed why they are considered contenders this season. They consistently disrupted Texas Southern’s rhythm and prevented any chance of a comeback from materializing.

Looking ahead for fans of the Rice Owls is an away game against rivals at Reed Arena where they will face off against the formidable Texas A&M Aggies. Scheduled for November 27th at Reed Arena located in College Station TX fans can follow along but no broadcast networks have been announced yet for live coverage.
