Wyoming Cowboys VS UNLV Runnin' Rebels

The match was a rollercoaster from start to finish. The Lady Rebels began with a slow first quarter, scoring just 12 points to the Cowgirls' 15. However, they maintained their composure and matched this in the second quarter to enter halftime on level terms. The third quarter saw a similar pattern of scoring but it was in the fourth where UNLV started to turn things around by adding another 18 points to their tally.

A pivotal moment came as the game went into overtime after both teams were locked at an even score by regulation's end. It was during these intense additional minutes that UNLV managed to outscore Wyoming by three points, securing their win.

Statistically speaking, UNLV showed dominance on the boards with an impressive total rebound count of 48 compared to Wyoming's 37 rebounds. This included grabbing nine offensive rebounds which contributed significantly towards second-chance opportunities resulting in nine second-chance points for UNLV.

Defensively, UNLV also stood out with seven blocks and six steals over Wyoming's two blocks and four steals. These defensive efforts were crucial in disrupting Wyoming's rhythm and contributing directly to four fast-break points for UNLV.

Offensively, despite shooting only 37 percent from field goals and a modest 21 percent from beyond the arc, they made up for it at the free-throw line where they shot an effective rate of approximately 72 percent making thirteen free throws.

One area that could be seen as concerning is turnovers; both teams struggled with possession at times throughout this matchup – UNLV turned over possession fourteen times while Wyoming had twelve turnovers themselves.

Looking ahead for fans of the Lady Rebels: Their next challenge will be against Nevada Wolf Pack at Lawlor Events Center in Reno on February 24th at 6:30 PM local time (Pacific Standard Time). This game promises another exciting conference clash and can be watched nationally on Fox Sports 1 channel number two hundred nineteen.
