UTEP Miners Face Off Against Sacramento State Hornets at Robert A. Mott Gymnasium

In a recent women's basketball game at the Robert A. Mott Gymnasium, the UTEP Miners faced a challenging opponent in the Sacramento State Hornets. The Miners, playing on neutral ground, were unable to secure victory against the Hornets with a final score of 63-50.


Norfolk State Spartans VS UTEP Miners

The UTEP Miners started off slow in the first quarter, scoring only nine points compared to the Hornets' 15. Despite picking up momentum in the second quarter with 15 points matching their opponents', they trailed behind as halftime approached. The third quarter saw an improved performance from both teams; however, it was still not enough for UTEP as they scored 14 points against Sacramento State's 16. In a decisive fourth quarter, UTEP managed to add another 12 points but ultimately could not overcome Sacramento State's strong finish of 20 points.


Key players for the UTEP Miners included their top scorer who contributed significantly to their total score and demonstrated commendable effort on court throughout all four quarters of play. On defense, one player stood out by securing several crucial rebounds that kept UTEP competitive during tight moments of play.


On the other side of court, Sacramento State showcased solid teamwork and consistent scoring across all quarters which proved pivotal in maintaining their lead over UTEP. Their offensive tactics allowed them to capitalize on opportunities and extend their advantage especially during transitions from defense to offense.
