Virginia Cavaliers' Efforts

The game saw several standout moments from individual players on the Virginia Cavaliers side. Paris Clark and Kymora Johnson both led their team in scoring, each contributing 16 points. Johnson also showcased her playmaking abilities with 5 assists and added 3 rebounds to her stat line. On defense, Breona Hurd made her presence felt by securing 2 steals alongside her contribution of 12 points and grabbing 2 rebounds.

Despite these efforts, challenges in converting opportunities were evident as seen in their overall field goal percentage of just 40 percent compared to their opponents' impressive rate of success from both inside and beyond the arc. The Cavaliers struggled particularly from three-point range, making only two out of sixteen attempts which translated into a mere twelve percent success rate.

Virginia Tech Hokies' Dominance

On the other side, the Virginia Tech Hokies demonstrated why they were formidable opponents by maintaining an effective field goal percentage of seventy percent throughout the game. Their sharpshooting was on full display as they hit sixty-three percent from three-point territory. The team's cohesive play was further highlighted by an impressive tally of twenty-six assists which facilitated easy baskets against a tough defense.

The Hokies capitalized on turnovers as well, scoring twenty points off turnovers thanks to aggressive defensive plays that led to four steals and kept pressure on the Cavaliers throughout all quarters.

Looking ahead, fans are eager to see how both teams will adjust strategies for future matchups after analyzing this performance.
