Washington State Cougars VS Oregon Ducks

The Washington State Cougars showcased their dominance on their home court at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman, WA. The team's performance was marked by exceptional shooting accuracy and ball movement. The Cougars shot 47 percent from the field and an impressive 100 percent from the free-throw line, making all four attempts. Their three-point shooting was also notable at 35 percent, converting seven shots from beyond the arc.

The home team's defensive efforts were equally commendable as they registered four steals and two blocks during the game. They managed to outperform their opponents in several key areas including points off turnovers (16), second-chance points (11), and assists (14). This multifaceted approach allowed them to maintain control throughout the match.

On offense, Washington State capitalized on its opportunities inside by scoring 28 points in paint. They also demonstrated efficient ball handling with only six turnovers compared to Oregon's nine. Moreover, their assist-to-turnover ratio stood at a solid 2.33 indicating effective distribution of basketball among players.

The Ducks put up a resilient fight despite trailing behind throughout most of the game. They managed to accumulate more total rebounds than Washington State with a count of 38 against 36 for the Cougars but fell short in other aspects such as field goal percentage where they shot only 41 percent overall and struggled significantly from three-point range hitting just one out of eight attempts for a lowly twelve percent conversion rate.

Oregon did excel in generating second-chance opportunities scoring nineteen second-chance points thanks largely to thirteen offensive rebounds which surpassed that of Washington State’s eight offensive boards.

As fans look forward to future games, they can mark their calendars for when Washington State will face off against Utah Utes on February 29th at Jon M Huntsman Center located in Salt Lake City UT scheduled for tip-off at 3:00 PM local time broadcasted on Pac-12 Network ensuring fans won't miss any action regardless if they are cheering from home or elsewhere.
