The Miami Dolphins showcased their defensive capabilities by recording four sacks and twelve quarterback hits, which contributed to limiting the Cowboys' offensive production. The defense also forced two three-and-outs, recovered one fumble without conceding any turnovers, and defended three passes. Despite missing twelve tackles, their efforts were crucial in keeping the opposition at bay.

Miami's special teams played an instrumental role in securing this win. The field goal unit was impeccable, converting all five attempts with a longest successful kick from fifty-seven yards out. This performance included three successful attempts from beyond fifty yards, highlighting both precision and power.

On offense, the Dolphins' passing game was efficient with twenty-four completions on thirty-seven attempts for two hundred ninety-three yards and one touchdown pass that covered four yards into the end zone. The quarterback posted an impressive passer rating of ninety-eight point one while maintaining an average pocket time of almost two seconds per attempt.

The rushing attack added ninety-one yards on twenty-six carries despite facing some resistance that resulted in eight negative rushing yards due to tackles for loss. However, they managed to gain first downs on four occasions and pushed through for fifty-nine hard-fought yards after contact.

Penalties were kept relatively low with only five infractions costing thirty-three yards; discipline that undoubtedly played a part in maintaining momentum throughout the game. In terms of possession time, Miami controlled the clock effectively with nearly twenty-nine minutes of playtime.

For their part, the Dallas Cowboys put up a valiant effort but fell just short despite utilizing all three timeouts during gameplay. Their defense could not manage any takeaways or sacks against Miami's offense but did force twelve missed tackles by their opponents.

Looking ahead to future contests, fans can anticipate another exciting game as the Miami Dolphins will be visiting M&T Bank Stadium to face off against Baltimore Ravens on December 31st at 1:00 PM Eastern Time (ET). This upcoming match will be broadcasted live on CBS for fans eager to follow their team's progress as they continue their campaign into what promises to be an engaging end-of-year clash.
