First Quarter

The game kicked off with both teams struggling to find their rhythm offensively. The Dolphins managed to put points on the board thanks to Riley Patterson's accurate field goal kicking, contributing significantly with three successful attempts, including a longest of 46 yards. The Fins' defense was particularly effective in this quarter, limiting Washington's offensive opportunities and forcing them into difficult positions.

Second Quarter

As the second quarter unfolded, Tua Tagovailoa showcased his precision passing skills by completing 70 percent of his throws for a total of 171 yards. Despite being sacked three times by an aggressive Commanders defense, Tagovailoa remained composed under pressure and helped maintain possession for Miami. De'Von Achane led the rushing attack with an impressive performance, gaining 120 yards on 21 carries.

Third Quarter

In this period, Miami's defensive unit continued its strong showing. Tyrel Dodson stood out with one sack and eleven combined tackles that kept Washington from gaining momentum. Jack Jones also made a crucial interception that halted a promising drive from the Commanders and shifted control back to Miami.

Fourth Quarter

The final quarter saw Ollie Gordon II make his mark by scoring Miami’s only touchdown through a determined rush play that extended their lead further. Although Terry McLaurin attempted to rally his team back into contention for Washington, it was not enough against Miami’s resilient defense which held firm until the end.

Miami Dolphins coach post-game reaction highlighted satisfaction with their defensive efforts as pivotal in securing this hard-fought win against an equally determined opponent.

Looking ahead, fans can catch the next game when Miami hosts New Orleans Saints at Hard Rock Stadium on November 30th at 1:00 PM EST; broadcasted live on FOX network.
