The Washington Commanders secured their first win of the season in an intense game against their regional rivals, the Baltimore Ravens. The home team's offense was firing on all cylinders as they amassed a total of 426 yards. The passing game was particularly effective, with the quarterback completing 36 out of 52 attempts for 326 yards and three touchdowns, achieving an impressive completion percentage of approximately 69 percent and a passer rating just shy of 98.

Despite being sacked three times, losing one fumble out of two and throwing one interception, Washington's offense maintained resilience throughout. The ground attack contributed significantly as well with 129 rushing yards on 26 attempts, averaging nearly five yards per carry. However, no touchdowns were recorded by this facet of their game.

The receiving corps had an active day with receptions totaling to the same number as passing yards (326), including three touchdown catches and twenty first downs achieved through air travel alone. Their longest reception went for only twenty-one yards but was enough to keep drives alive when needed.

Special teams also played a pivotal role in this tight contest; field goal kickers were perfect on the day converting all three attempts with their longest being from forty-nine yards out. Kickoffs were equally dominant resulting in six touchbacks from seven kicks totaling four hundred fifty-six yards.

Defensively, Washington showed tenacity by forcing two interceptions which they returned for sixty-three combined return yards; their longest interception return spanned fifty-nine yards setting up advantageous field position. Additionally, they forced three-and-outs on three occasions keeping pressure on Baltimore's offense throughout much of the game.
