In an intense matchup at the Canada Life Centre, the Arizona Coyotes displayed resilience but ultimately fell short in overtime against the Winnipeg Jets. The Coyotes opened up scoring in the first period and managed to tally one goal each across all three periods. Their efforts were met with an aggressive response from the Jets who notched three goals in the opening period alone.

Arizona's performance was marked by a strong physical presence on ice with a total of 30 hits throughout the game. They also put up an impressive defensive effort blocking 17 shots and taking control of their own zone with six takeaways. Despite these efforts, they struggled slightly on faceoffs winning only 25 out of 54 attempts which translated into a faceoff win percentage of just under half at 46 percent.

Offensively, Arizona capitalized on one out of two powerplay opportunities thanks to their special teams' execution which contributed to their overall shooting percentage settling at nine percent from their total shots taken during regular play and powerplays combined. The team's goaltender had his hands full facing a barrage from Winnipeg totaling 32 shots against him; he managed to save all but four.

On the other side, Winnipeg matched Arizona's shot count but edged them out slightly with a shooting percentage of twelve percent which included an overtime goal that sealed their victory. The home team also had better luck on faceoffs winning just over half at fifty-four percent and showed discipline by committing fewer penalties than Arizona.
