The game was held at Mullett Arena in Tempe, where fans of both teams witnessed an intense battle on ice. The Arizona Coyotes and the Seattle Kraken were locked in a defensive stalemate for much of the game. Neither team managed to score during the first two periods as both goaltenders put on an impressive display between the pipes.

The third period saw each team finally breaking through their opponent's defense. The Kraken struck first, bringing their total shots to 28 and goals to one by capitalizing on their even-strength play. However, they struggled with powerplay opportunities throughout the game and failed to convert any of their three chances despite having a faceoff win percentage of 60 percent during powerplays.

In response, the Coyotes showcased resilience as they matched up with an even-strength goal of their own among their total shot count of 26. Their shooting percentage stood at eight percent compared to four percent for Seattle. Despite being out-hit by Seattle's twenty hits compared to twenty-eight from Arizona and losing more faceoffs overall (winning only forty-eight percent), it was clear that every play counted towards building momentum for what would be a decisive overtime period.

Overtime was where Arizona truly shined; they scored one goal from just two shots taken during this period while maintaining solid defense throughout. This crucial goal not only secured them two points but also marked it as an overtime victory thanks to effective even-strength play where they scored both goals against one from Seattle.

Arizona’s goaltender played a pivotal role in securing this win by saving twenty-seven out of twenty-eight shots faced across all periods including overtime – achieving a perfect save percentage under shorthanded conditions – while his counterpart from Seattle made twenty-four saves but ultimately conceded twice.

Looking ahead after this nail-biting encounter, fans can catch Arizona back in action against Dallas Stars at Mullett Arena on March 24th at 5:00 PM MST. The game will be available for viewing on ESPN+ via internet streaming or through BSSW and SCRIPPS television networks.
