The game began with both teams unable to score in the first period. The action picked up in the second period when the Coyotes found their rhythm and netted two goals. They continued their offensive push into the third period by adding another goal to their tally. However, it was during overtime that they secured their win with an additional goal, bringing their total points for the game to four.

Arizona's goaltender played an instrumental role in securing this victory by saving all but three of the 26 shots he faced throughout regulation time and overtime combined. His save percentage stood at an impeccable 100 percent during even-strength play and shorthanded situations.

Offensively, Arizona demonstrated efficiency on ice with a shooting percentage of 22 percent from their total of 18 shots. Their efforts were bolstered by seven assists and one winning goal that proved decisive in overtime. Despite facing challenges at faceoffs where they won only 34 percent compared to Vancouver's dominant performance at faceoffs winning 66 percent, Arizona managed to maintain control where it counted most.

On defense, Arizona blocked a significant number of attempts from Vancouver totaling twenty blocked shots while delivering nineteen hits throughout the game. They also showed discipline by limiting themselves to just four penalties amounting to eight penalty minutes.

The Canucks put up strong resistance as well; they delivered thirty-one hits and had ten takeaways indicating active defensive play but fell short as they could not capitalize on five powerplay opportunities provided throughout the game.

Looking ahead for fans of The Coyotes: The team will be hitting the ice again soon against Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place on April 13th scheduled for a start time of 7:00 PM Mountain Standard Time (MST).
