Third Period


In the third period, Nashville turned up their intensity and managed to equalize late in regulation through Steven Stamkos. This pivotal moment shifted momentum towards Nashville as they capitalized on one of their few scoring chances.


Overtime


As overtime commenced, both teams had opportunities but it was Juuse Saros’ stellar goaltending that kept Florida from scoring again. Eventually, Nashville clinched victory with an overtime goal that sealed Florida’s fate for this matchup.
