Kraken's Raleigh Rumble: Seattle Battles Hurricanes in a Stormy Showdown

First Period


The first period saw an even exchange as both teams managed to find the back of the net once. Matty Beniers opened up for Seattle, showcasing his precision by scoring on one of his two shots. However, Carolina quickly responded with Jaccob Slavin leading their charge and leveling the score.


Second Period


The second period was marked by defensive prowess from both sides, resulting in no goals being scored. Joey Daccord stood tall for Seattle between the pipes, making crucial saves and maintaining composure under pressure from Carolina's offense.

Third Period


As tensions rose in the third period, it was Berkly Catton who stepped up for Seattle with a goal that briefly put them ahead. Yet, Carolina's Jordan Martinook and Jordan Staal turned up their offensive heat late in this segment to secure victory for their team.


Despite out-hitting their opponents 25 to 16 and winning key faceoffs during powerplay opportunities (67 percent success rate), Seattle struggled against Carolina’s relentless attack which ultimately led them to fall short by one goal.

In terms of individual performances worth noting: Joey Daccord made an impressive total of 31 saves throughout this encounter; meanwhile Adam Larsson contributed defensively alongside Ryan Winterton who added an assist during critical moments when needed most!
