In an intense battle at the Footprint Center, the Phoenix Suns fell just short against the visiting Memphis Grizzlies. The home crowd of 17,071 witnessed a game that was closely contested throughout, with lead changes occurring 13 times and the score tied on ten occasions. Despite their efforts and leading for over half an hour, the Suns could not maintain their advantage in the final quarter.

The Suns showcased resilience and offensive skill by accumulating 62 points in paint compared to the Grizzlies' 48. However, it was not enough to secure victory as they were outscored by six points overall. The home team's bench contributed significantly but was outpaced by Memphis's reserves who added 36 points to their total.

Phoenix demonstrated efficiency from two-point range with a solid shooting percentage of 51 percent but struggled beyond the arc, converting only eight out of twenty-eight three-point attempts for a lower three-point shooting percentage of twenty-nine percent. Their free throw performance also lagged behind at sixty-eight percent from the line.

Defensively, both teams were active around the rim; however, it was Memphis who had more blocks with eight compared to Phoenix's six. In terms of ball handling and distribution, both teams matched each other with twenty-nine assists each; however, turnovers proved costly for Phoenix as they gave up eighteen points off twelve turnovers while managing to convert only twelve points from eighteen Grizzlies' turnovers.

Looking ahead for fans of The Phoenix Suns: their next challenge will be against LA Clippers at Crypto.com Arena on January 8th at 7:30 PM local time. This encounter can be watched nationally on NBA TV channel two hundred sixteen or locally via BSSC channel six hundred ninety-three and AZFamily channel two hundred sixteen for those following away from home.
