The game began with the Sacramento Kings taking control early on, posting an impressive 39 points in the first quarter compared to the Suns' 27. The Kings maintained their momentum into the second quarter adding another 29 points to their tally while holding Phoenix to just 24. However, by halftime, it was clear that this match would not be decided until the final buzzer.

As play resumed after halftime, Phoenix started chipping away at Sacramento's lead. In a remarkable third-quarter performance where they scored 33 points against Sacramento's 28, it became evident that Phoenix was not going down without a fight. The fourth quarter saw an even more determined Suns team take to the court as they racked up an additional 35 points while limiting Sacramento to just 21.

Key players for Phoenix shone throughout this matchup. With six blocks and seven steals matching those of Sacramento's defense efforts and contributing significantly towards turning possession over in crucial moments of play. Moreover, efficient shooting from both inside and beyond the arc played pivotal roles; shooting percentages stood at fifty-two percent for two-point attempts and forty-six percent for three-pointers.

Phoenix also demonstrated superiority on rebounds grabbing fifty-six total rebounds including eight offensive boards which led them to eleven second-chance points – mirroring exactly what Sacramento managed despite having fewer opportunities (seven second-chance attempts). Furthermore, fast breaks were executed almost flawlessly by Phoenix who converted eighty-five percent of their fast break opportunities into twenty-seven fast break points – nearly double what Sacramento could muster (fourteen).

The home team’s bench contributed twenty-four bench points but more importantly showed depth when it mattered most during rotations throughout this grueling contest. Assists were plentiful too; thirty-two assists highlighted how well-coordinated plays resulted in effective scoring opportunities for Phoenix.
