The Suns took control early on, setting the pace with a strong first quarter and maintaining the lead for nearly 44 minutes of playtime. Their largest advantage stretched to 14 points as they capitalized on fast breaks, converting them into an outstanding 20 points from such opportunities – showcasing their speed and agility. The team's shooting accuracy was particularly notable; they achieved a remarkable field goal percentage of 57 percent while also excelling at free throws with an impressive accuracy rate of 83 percent.

Phoenix's dominance in the paint was evident as they scored an overwhelming majority of their points (64) close to the basket. This inside presence was bolstered by converting two-point attempts at an exceptional rate of 68 percent. On defense, the Suns managed to block five shots and made seven steals which contributed to their overall efficiency rating soaring to 136.

Despite committing more turnovers than usual (17), Phoenix showed resilience by scoring off these mistakes made by Indiana – tallying up to 17 points off turnovers. The bench may have only contributed nine points but it did little to dampen the overall team performance.

On the other side, Indiana Pacers put up a valiant fight but couldn't maintain consistency throughout all four quarters. They were able to draw fouls effectively leading them to attempt more free throws than Phoenix; however, their conversion rate stood lower at just over half made (61 percent). The Pacers also had success beyond the arc hitting three-pointers at a solid clip of 45 percent which kept them within striking distance until the final buzzer.

Looking ahead for fans of Phoenix Suns: mark your calendars for January 22nd when your team will face off against Chicago Bulls right here at Footprint Center in Phoenix.
