In an intense matchup at Footprint Center, the Suns started strong with a lead in the first quarter but couldn't maintain their momentum against the Pelicans' robust offense. Despite outscoring their opponents in fast break points 14 to 10 and boasting a higher free throw percentage at 93 percent compared to the Pelicans' 90 percent, it wasn't enough to secure victory.

The home team's performance was marked by their ability to draw fouls and capitalize on free throws, making an impressive 13 out of 14 attempts. However, they struggled from beyond the arc with a three-point shooting percentage of only 36 percent compared to their opponents' more effective rate of 41 percent.

The Suns showcased their defensive capabilities by blocking eight shots and stealing seven times from the Pelicans. Yet these efforts were overshadowed by turnovers; Phoenix committed a total of sixteen turnovers which translated into nineteen points for New Orleans.

Offensively for the Suns, assists were plentiful as they racked up thirty throughout the game indicating good ball movement and teamwork. However, they lagged behind in bench scoring with only seven points coming from non-starters whereas New Orleans’ bench contributed significantly with thirty-four points.

Rebounding was another area where Phoenix held its own; they collected forty-five rebounds including nine offensive boards but still fell short against New Orleans’ fifty-one total rebounds.

As for individual performances on both sides: while specific player statistics are not provided within this data set, it is clear that team efforts dictated much of this game's pace and outcome.

Looking ahead after this hard-fought battle at home court, The Phoenix Suns will host LA Clippers at Footprint Center on April 9th at 7:00 PM local time (Arizona). Fans can catch all live action broadcasted on AZFamily or KTLA networks as both teams prepare to face off once again in what promises to be another exciting NBA encounter.
