Suns and Trail Blazers Tangle in Overtime Thriller at Moda Center

In a closely contested game that went into overtime, the Phoenix Suns fell to the Portland Trail Blazers with a final score of 119-121. This outcome leaves the Suns with a record of 25-24 for the season, while the Trail Blazers improved to 21-29. Despite their efforts, including leading for over 21 minutes and securing a nine-point lead at one point during the game, the Suns couldn't clinch victory at Portland's Moda Center.

Key Performances on Both Sides


The Phoenix Suns showcased strong individual performances, notably from Devin Booker who led his team with 34 points, adding four assists and three rebounds. His shooting was efficient from both inside and beyond the arc. Bradley Beal also made significant contributions with 25 points, three assists, five rebounds, and an impressive defensive effort that included three steals. Kevin Durant added another layer of offense with 27 points alongside five assists and five rebounds.


On defense, Royce O'Neale stood out for Phoenix with four steals contributing to his team's total of twelve steals for the night. The team also managed to block five shots against Portland's attempts.


The Trail Blazers responded vigorously especially in overtime where they outscored the Suns by two points which ultimately decided the game’s outcome. Their fast-break performance was perfect throughout regulation time contributing significantly to their win along with their ability to capitalize on second-chance opportunities totaling eighteen points from such plays.
