First Quarter

The game began with both teams neck and neck, each scoring 20 points in the first quarter. The Suns showed promise early on but struggled to maintain momentum against Rip City's defense. Devin Booker was instrumental in keeping the Valley competitive during this period.

Second Quarter

As the second quarter unfolded, Portland started pulling away by outscoring Phoenix 27-20. The Blazers capitalized on their fast break opportunities, converting an impressive 64 percent of their attempts into points. Meanwhile, Jamaree Bouyea's efforts for Phoenix were notable as he contributed defensively with steals and blocks.

Third Quarter

In a pivotal third quarter, Portland extended their lead by adding another 24 points compared to Phoenix's 17. The Suns' shooting struggles became apparent as they managed only a field goal percentage of just over one-third throughout this segment. Collin Gillespie tried to rally his team with his scoring ability but found limited support from his teammates.

Fourth Quarter

Despite entering the final quarter trailing by double digits, Phoenix attempted a comeback led by Royce O'Neale's defensive presence and Isaiah Livers’ hustle plays off rebounds. However, Rip City maintained control thanks largely due to their dominance in paint scoring—52 points compared against Valley’s lesser tally—and secured victory without much resistance from their opponents who could not close down gaps effectively enough when it mattered most.
