The game was marked by strong defensive plays and effective ground control by the Florida Atlantic Owls. The home team's defense managed to sack Western Kentucky's quarterback once and recorded six tackles for loss, contributing to their opponent's limited scoring opportunities. The Owls' offense was equally tenacious, particularly in their rushing attack which amassed 165 yards over 45 attempts and scored one touchdown from an eleven-yard run.

The passing game for the Florida Atlantic Owls saw them complete seven out of seventeen attempts for a total of 108 yards. Despite being sacked four times, they maintained composure and secured six first downs through the air. Their efficiency on third down conversions stood at thirty-eight percent with five successful conversions out of thirteen attempts.

Special teams also played a pivotal role in this low-scoring affair; notably, all three kickoffs from the Florida Atlantic Owls resulted in touchbacks due to their impressive coverage downfield. Furthermore, their punting unit performed admirably with an average of forty-six yards across five punts, three landing inside the twenty-yard line without any blocks or returns against them.

On offense, field goal kicking was precise as well; they successfully converted one field goal attempt from forty yards out contributing crucial points to secure their lead over Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.

The visiting team struggled to find rhythm throughout most of the game but managed two field goals accounting for all six points scored against an unyielding Owl defense that did not concede any touchdowns or interceptions during playtime.

As fans look ahead after this hard-fought victory by the Florida Atlantic University football team, attention turns towards their next encounter against local rivals –the Florida International Golden Panthers– scheduled on November 14th at Riccardo Silva Stadium in Miami. This upcoming contest will be broadcasted live on CBS Sports Network for supporters unable to attend what promises to be another intense chapter in this intrastate rivalry.
