In Gainesville's Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, where 86,840 fans gathered to witness the contest between these two teams, it was evident that the home advantage played its part. Despite their efforts and maintaining possession for nearly half an hour of game time, the Owls could not capitalize on their opportunities as effectively as their opponents.

The Owls' offense managed to accumulate a total of 353 yards throughout the game. Their passing attack saw them complete 19 out of 33 attempts for 261 yards and one touchdown pass which was completed for a distance of 13 yards. On the ground, they rushed for an additional 92 yards on 37 attempts and scored one rushing touchdown from just two yards out.

Florida Atlantic's defense intercepted two passes but failed to convert these turnovers into points. The special teams unit had five punting attempts totaling up to an impressive distance of 237 yards; however no punts were blocked nor returned for touchdowns. The longest punt recorded by them stretched to an impressive distance of 55 yards.

Penalties seemed under control with only six infractions costing them a modest total of just under three dozen penalty yards. Their red zone efficiency stood at perfect figures as they converted both opportunities they had within this critical area into scores.

On the other side, while details about their performance are limited within this article due to audience focus preferences, it is worth noting that scoring by quarters showed that while both teams remained scoreless in second quarter action; it was in first and fourth quarters where most damage was done by both sides combined – particularly by the Gators who posted fourteen points in each quarter respectively compared to fourteen overall by FAU across all four periods combined.

Looking ahead after this tough outing on turf surface at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium; fans can mark their calendars for when Florida Atlantic will next take field against Georgia Southern Eagles at FAU Stadium located in Boca Raton FL on September eleventh at seven-thirty PM Eastern Time. This upcoming game will be broadcasted live on STADIUM network ensuring supporters won't miss any action from what promises another exciting college football event.
