In an impressive display at Scheumann Stadium, the Florida Atlantic Owls secured their second victory of the season over the Ball State Cardinals. The Owls' offense was firing on all cylinders, amassing a total of 495 yards with an average gain of six yards per play. Quarterback play was exceptional as they completed 33 out of 41 pass attempts for a total of 366 yards and four touchdowns, achieving an outstanding passer rating of approximately 188.

The receiving corps played a significant role in this offensive juggernaut, catching passes for the same number of yards as thrown by their quarterback and scoring four times. Their longest reception went for an impressive distance but fell just short of being over fifty yards. On the ground, the rushing attack added another dimension to their game plan with two touchdowns from within red zone attempts.

Special teams contributed positively to field position battles; kickoffs traveled for a combined distance that set up strategic advantages throughout the game. However, it wasn't all smooth sailing as one extra point attempt failed to add to their scoreline.

Defensively, Florida Atlantic showed tenacity by recording five sacks and recovering three fumbles from their opponents while also intercepting one pass that was returned for three yards. These turnovers were crucial in halting any momentum built by the home team and provided additional opportunities for their offense to capitalize on.

The Cardinals did not go down without resistance; they managed to put up thirty-one points themselves and kept pace through each quarter but ultimately could not contain the multifaceted attack presented by Florida Atlantic's team.

Looking ahead, fans can anticipate another exciting home game as Florida Atlantic University prepares to host Wagner Seahawks at FAU Stadium in Boca Raton on September 21st at 6:00 PM Eastern Time. This upcoming contest will be broadcasted live on ESPN+, allowing supporters who cannot make it to Boca Raton an opportunity to follow along from wherever they may be.
