The Florida Atlantic Owls demonstrated resilience throughout the game. The team's offense accumulated a total of 329 yards with an average gain of 5.7 yards per play. The rushing department contributed significantly with 165 yards on the ground and one touchdown from a notable 32-yard run which was also their longest rush touchdown of the game. The passing game was equally effective; they completed 12 out of 20 attempts for a total of 164 yards and achieved one passing touchdown from a commendable distance of 17 yards.

On special teams, the Owls' kickoffs traveled for an impressive total distance of 257 yards resulting in three touchbacks out of four kicks. Their punt returns added another dimension to their play as they managed to return one punt for an impressive gain of 24 yards.

Defensively, Florida Atlantic showed tenacity by recording two sacks and forcing three turnovers including one interception which was returned magnificently for a touchdown covering an impressive distance of 72 yards. However, despite these efforts on defense and special teams combined with solid offensive production, it wasn't enough to overcome their opponents.

The UTEP Miners secured their win through consistent scoring across all four quarters while capitalizing on opportunities as they presented themselves during critical moments within the game.

Looking ahead after this hard-fought battle at Sun Bowl Stadium, fans can anticipate seeing more action from the Florida Atlantic Owls when they host the UAB Blazers at FAU Stadium located in Boca Raton, FL. This upcoming encounter is scheduled for October twenty-ninth at seven o'clock PM Eastern Time and will be broadcasted live on CBS Sports Network via satellite channel two hundred twenty-one.
