The Louisville offense amassed a total of 393 yards throughout the game. The passing attack was particularly effective, contributing 286 yards to this tally. Quarterback play was notable as they achieved an impressive passer rating of 159 and completed over half their passes with a completion percentage of around 57 percent. Two passing touchdowns were recorded including one remarkable long-distance connection that resulted in a touchdown from an impressive distance of 74 yards.

On the ground, the rushing efforts added up to 124 yards with an average gain per attempt sitting just above two and half yards. The ground game also saw one touchdown scored from four yards out. In terms of scoring efficiency, the Cardinals excelled in red zone opportunities by capitalizing on all three chances presented to them.

Special teams contributed positively as well; their field goal unit maintained perfection by converting their sole field goal attempt from thirty yards out. Kickoff returns yielded some yardage for Louisville as well, accumulating thirty-seven total return yards.

Penalties were kept relatively low for both teams; however, it's worth noting that seven penalties were called against the Cardinals resulting in fifty-four penalty yards assessed against them.

Despite these efforts by Louisville's offense and special teams units, it was not enough to overcome Florida State's lead which had been established early on during the first quarter where they racked up twenty-one points while holding Louisville scoreless.

Looking ahead for the Louisville Cardinals is another chance to compete on home soil as they prepare to host Boston College Eagles at Cardinal Stadium. Fans can mark their calendars for October fifth when this encounter is scheduled to take place at four-thirty PM local time (Eastern Time). This upcoming game will be broadcasted on ESPN CE where fans can tune in for live coverage.
