The game saw the UCF Knights put up a valiant effort at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Despite their determination, they were unable to overcome the home team's defense and secure more points on the board. The Knights' offense managed to accumulate a total of 326 yards throughout the game, with 128 yards gained on rushing plays from their 36 attempts and two rushing touchdowns. Their longest rush was an impressive run of 19 yards.

UCF's passing game saw them complete 22 out of 35 attempts for a total of 198 yards; however, they were unable to convert any passes into touchdowns and suffered one interception. Their longest pass completion was for an admirable distance of 37 yards. The quarterback rating stood at about 105 after adjusting for six sacks totaling a loss of around 45 yards.

On defense, UCF showed resilience but couldn't prevent Duke from scoring in each quarter. They defended well against passing plays with two passes defended but failed to record any interceptions or safeties during this encounter.

Penalties played only a minor role in this contest as both teams maintained discipline throughout most of it; UCF incurred just three penalties amounting to approximately twenty-seven penalty yards.

In terms of efficiency within critical areas on the field, UCF had some success in red zone situations with about sixty-seven percent effectiveness over three attempts and perfect execution during both tries when they had goal-to-go situations.

As fans look forward to future games featuring their beloved Knights, they can tune into broadcasts that will showcase how this young team responds after facing such tough competition away from home turf.
